DataPrep Desk is an independent early-stage project. Its current tools operate on data inside your browser without requiring registration.

Data you load

Files you select and dataset text you paste are read by JavaScript in your own browser. We do not currently offer a hosted dataset database, user accounts, application analytics, or a server-side upload endpoint. Files are not intentionally transmitted to us for processing. Data remains in the open page until you navigate away, reload or clear it.

Generated exports

CSV, TSV and JSON files are generated inside the browser and downloaded directly to your device. Downloads are your responsibility to store and share securely.

Technical hosting data

Cloudflare hosts the website, and may process IP addresses, request metadata and technical/security logs in delivering and protecting it. Cloudflare's practices are described in its privacy policy. We do not claim complete anonymity.

Cookies and third parties

The current application does not use advertising cookies or embedded analytics scripts. External GitHub links and any links you follow operate under those services' privacy terms.

Future changes

If we add server-side APIs, AI features, accounts or analytics, we will revisit this privacy information before enabling them. Any use of third-party AI on user-provided content would require clear notice and appropriate consent.
